Life Transitions

We all experience transitional periods in our lives. These major life events often cause feelings of confusion, fear, sadness, and worry. You may feel anxiety, depression, or overwhelmed by the change. Life transitions include:

When you experience a major life change, you may wonder if you can handle it. There could be too much on your plate. You may experience fears of being alone or worry that your future is unclear. You may encounter anxiety or depression due to new responsibilities and overpowering emotions.

Maybe, the transition hasn't occurred yet, but you are contemplating a major life change. If you are considering marriage, divorce, a career change, or retirement, it's smart to talk through your thoughts. Have you considered everything? Have you looked at the pros and cons? Are you making the right decision?

I can help! Having someone you can talk through your fears and adjustments with can make a significant difference. Also, having the support of a professional to help guide you through this uncertain time is very beneficial.

During times of adjustment it's normal to feel depression, anxiety, panic, and stress. You may experience changes in sleep and appetite, become disorganized, or lose interest in things you once enjoyed. It's even possible that you feel as though you've lost your identity. You're not sure who you are anymore.

You may believe that you should be able to handle what you're going through. You may think, "Everyone goes through it. It's just life!" Seeking my help to take that leap may make your transition smoother and you'll learn new skills to reduce your symptoms. There's no need to go through it alone.

I am in my late-50's and truly understand the different phases that people go through in their lifetime.

When I was in my 20's I struggled to find a direction and a career. Then I got married, had kids, and became a stay-at-home mom. Once my kids went to school I started my career and suffered through the aging and passing of my parents. Now, my kids have moved on and I am self-employed.

My education, training, and life experiences may be helpful to whatever life transitions that you are considering or currently going through.
